Your Southwest Branch ballot should either have been received by now or will arrive shortly (some mailing addresses were obtained only recently). Please take the time to vote (include the numbered slip, please -- a "7" for member bands, a "1" for individual members), write your membership number on the outside of the return envelope, and drop it in the mail. You may write in a candidate if they are a member in good standing of the EUSPBA and the Southwest Branch.
There is a proposal included for an Officer At Large #3, specifically to help us address the needs and interests of drummers in the branch. If approved, the position will be filled in the 2010 election.
The Vote Counting Process:
The ballots will be rec'd by Officer At Large #2, Stan Masinter, as he is the only officer not up for re-election. The envelopes will not be opened until our branch AGM on August 15, 2009. A committee will check for the presence of a valid membership number on the exterior of the envelope (those without numbers will be discarded).
The valid ballots will be separated from their envelopes (so secrecy will be maintained) and counted. The results will be announced at the branch AGM.
Please participate in the voting process, and please consider taking advantage of the opportunity to attend the workshops, contests, and the meeting on August 15 in Dallas, Texas.
